Jennifer was in her 30’s when she became legally blind due to Celiac Disease. She is now an Ambassador for the Center for the Visually Impaired. She and her guide dog Frank, a blue standard poodle, help to spread the message about how the center taught her how to live independently and enhanced her enjoyment of life. She wants everyone in the county to be aware of what’s available for the visually impaired so that if it happens to someone they love they can help guide them. Pot Luck. Bring a dish to share.  Following a discussion and resulting vote at a monthly meeting, we have brought back the Bounty monthly drawing! To be eligible to win, your dues must be current as of the Friday that immediately precedes the monthly meeting. If paying dues by mail, check must be received (not postmarked) by Friday. Tickets are not required. A name is picked by using a random number pick computer program. That number is matched with the member’s name from a list that will have been prepared the day before. Names can not be added to the list the day of or at the meeting. The member whose number is picked must be present for the drawing. If the member is not present, the money is banked and $25 added to the next month’s drawing. If the pot reaches $500, it will be capped at that amount and the drawing will continue each month until someone wins. If your name is drawn, will you be there to win? |
